FABRIC RECOMMENDATION

I recommend fabrics with some body. Medium to heavy woven fabrics without stretch with a weight of 300-600 g/m², e.g. cotton canvas, sailcloth or jacquard fabrics. You can often find suitable alternatives declared as upholstery fabrics.

If you want to use lighter woven fabric with reinforcement and lining, you should calculate the same consumption for the lining fabric as for the outer fabric. 

INGREDIENTS

Additionally, you will need a zipper for the top of the tote bag.

You can also sew a removable and adjustable shoulder strap.
It is important that all openings have the same width. This width is determined by the bag strap. In my instructions, the straps for size S have a width of 2 cm and for sizes M and L a width of 4 cm. You can of course determine and adjust both the length and width individually.
It's up to you whether you choose a ladder buckle with a fixed or a sliding bar. The workmanship is the same.
